Delete Selected Features

This tool deletes all the features that are currently selected.

Steps To Delete Selected Features

  1. Click on the layer in the legend so it becomes selected. The layer must contain line geometries.
  2. On the Editing toolbar, click Start Editing. For shapefiles only one person can edit the file at a time. Also, if permissions on the shapefile prohibit read/write access you will receive an error when attempting to edit the layer.
  3. Click on Edit Tools on the editing toolbar.
  4. Click on Delete Selected Features.
  5. A warning message will display indicating how many features will be deleted. Click Yes to complete the delete operation.
